안녕하세요!  뉴욕 한인 사회의 자부심이자 미국 사회에 한인 문화를 널리 알려 온 제30회 “2010 코리안 퍼레이드”가 오는 10월 2일 토요일에 있을 예정입니다.  올해에도 우리 한국학교는 꽃차를 타고 코리안 퍼레이드에 참가할 예정입니다.  자녀들이 한국인으로서 자랑스러움을 느끼고, 멋진 추억을 만들 수 있도록 이 행사에 많은 학부모님들이 참석해 주시기를 바랍니다.  이 행사는 학생들의 안전을 위해 학부모님께서 꼭 동행하셔야만 참가 할 수 있습니다.  코리안 퍼레이드에 참가하지 않으실 경우에는 10시 30분에 학교에서 자녀를 픽업해 주시기 바랍니다.  이 점 양해해 주시고, 신청서를 작성하여 다음 토요일에 각 반 담임 선생님께 반드시 제출하여 주시기 바랍니다.  감사합니다.

  3. 참가자 : 희망하는 모든 학생, 학부모, 교사

  4. 복   장 : 한복 또는 한국학교 티셔츠

   5. 행사 당일 시간표

·         9:00am~10:30am      :   한국어 수업

              ( 행사에 참가하지 않는 학생들은  10시 30분에 학교에서 픽업해 주십시오.)

·         10:30am~10:50am    :   간식

·         10:50am~11:00am    :   참가자 모두 학교 버스에 탑승 (부모님도 함께 탑승 가능)

·         11:00am                    :   행사장으로 출발

·         12:00pm~1:00pm      :  코리안 퍼레이드 참가 (Bryant Park 남측 인근에 집결후 행진)

·         1:00pm                      :   해산 (행진 후 27~23가에서 꽃차 하차)

 

 

 

Dear Parents,

 

It is honor to announce that the “2010 Korean Day Parade” will be held on this Saturday, October 2, 2010.  The Parade means our New York Korean Community’s pride and also one of the best ways to spread the Korean Culture to the American Community.  As our annual tradition, Manhattan Korean School (뉴욕브로드웨이 한국학교) will participate in the Parade riding a parade float fully decorated with beautiful flowers.  It is recommended to all parents to participate in this event so that your children can learn the Korean Culture and will be proud of their heritage while they are having fun.  A student MUST be accompanied by his/her parent in order for a student’s safety.  If a student will NOT be able to participate in the Parade, a parent MUST pick up the student at school by 10:30 AM.  Please consider this and submit this form to the classroom teacher by next Saturday.

1.      Date: Saturday, October 2th, 2010  

2.      Place:  From 38th St. to 27th St. on Avenue of the Americas (6th Ave) in Manhattan

3.      Participants: All students, teachers, and parents

4.      Attire: “HanBok (traditional Korean costume)” or Korean School T-shirt for those who

                    do not have “HanBok”. / Parents are also recommended to wear ‘HanBok’ if possible.

5.      Time: School bus will leave for Bryant Park at 11:00 am.  Parents may get on bus with students.

6.      Dismissal: On 27th~23rd Street near the 6th Avenue around 12:45 pm to 1:00 pm.

7.      The Schedule will be as follows:

·         09:00am~10:30am    :   Korean Classes

                   * If you are NOT a parade participant, please pick up your child at 10:30am. *

·         10:30am~10:50am    :   Snack Time

·         10:50am~11:00am    :   Ready to get on school bus (all participants)

·         11:00am                    :   Depart for the Starting Point (Bryant Park south area)

·         12:00pm~1:00pm      :  Commencement of the Korean Day Parade

·         1:00pm                      :   Dismissal (on 27th~23rd St. near 6th Ave)
